WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Successful fundraising requires a clear message, the right communication vehicles, strong prospects, engaged partners, and a realistic plan. This session will guide attendees through developing a compelling case for giving, selecting communication methods that fit their goals, and identifying where to find potential prospects and partners. Participants will also learn how to ground their fundraising plan in data, create projections based on budget and staff capacity, and establish practical benchmarks. Key metrics such as participation rates, average gift size, and cost to raise a dollar will be explored to help build a sustainable and achievable fundraising strategy.

ABOUT THE TRAINER

Jessica Neno Cloud, CFRE, MA

Jessica has held the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation since 2013 and has worked in fundraising for over 20 years. Currently, she serves as the Vice President for Advancement at Starr King School for the Ministry. She earned her Master of Arts degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in English Literature in 2018. She is an author, presenter, consultant, and trainer on the topic of higher education and nonprofit fundraising. Jessica is also a poet, published in online journals and print. She lives in Hartsville, South Carolina with her husband, Daniel Cloud and two children, Emmeline and Thomas, and their two orange tabbies.
