Using Data and Evaluation to Navigate Change and Build Power

2/2/2026 & 2/9/2026

10:00 am - 11:30 am PT | 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm ET

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

In times of uncertainty, shifting funding landscapes, policy rollbacks, and increased pressures on communities, nonprofits are wise to look at their data and evaluation practices as a way to strengthen resilience, adapt and build advocacy power. This interactive bootcamp moves beyond compliance-driven data collection to show how evaluation can strengthen decision-making, drive learning, and amplify impact. Participants will learn what makes data and evaluation critical tools in times of change, and use an AI-driven data audit framework to assess how well their current data practices serve them in this moment. Participants will leave with new ideas and potential action steps that can help them re-align data practices as times change.

Who Should Attend?

Nonprofit professionals who are interested in using data to strengthen their organizations.

What The Training Will Cover

  • Differentiate between compliance-driven data collection and evaluation practices that strengthen resilience, adaptation, and advocacy.

  • Analyze how shifting external conditions (funding, policy, community pressures) impact their organization’s use of data.

  • Apply the AI-driven RIGHT Framework audit to assess the effectiveness of their current data and evaluation practices.

  • Identify at least one actionable step to realign data practices so they better support organizational resilience and advocacy in times of change.
