Workshop Description
This engaging and practical workshop explores how organizational culture influences every decision, relationship, and behavior within a nonprofit. Through storytelling and real-life examples, participants will reflect on how personal histories, unspoken norms, and unchecked behaviors shape culture more than stated values. The session will help participants identify how culture is expressed through everyday actions and interactions. Attendees will examine how these cultural behaviors impact trust, inclusion, and overall organizational effectiveness. Using a reflective framework, they will analyze their current cultural practices to uncover strengths, gaps, and misalignments. Participants will leave with strategies to intentionally shape culture in order to build greater trust, accountability, and alignment within their teams.

What the Training Will Cover
Identify ways that organizational culture is expressed through everyday behaviors and interactions.
Explain how these cultural behaviors influence trust, inclusion, and organizational effectiveness.
Analyze ways to define an organization’s current cultural practices to identify strengths, gaps, and misalignments using a provided reflective framework.
Develop actionable steps to strengthen or shift their organizational culture based on real-world examples.

About the Trainer
Judie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has earned a Master of Arts in Communication from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Social Work from Aurora University. With the heart of a social worker and the mind of a business professional, she has more than 30 years of experience working with non-profits, universities, and municipalities.
