NONPROFIT LABS

Our Nonprofit Labs are designed to advance the skills and knowledge of nonprofit professionals, volunteers, board members and community leaders. We offer opportunities for attendees to create meaningful connections and hands-on activities. All of our workshops are taught at intermediate to advanced levels by expert trainers. Our trainers go through a competitive selection process to lead workshops at our Nonprofit Labs.

What attendees are saying about our Nonprofit Conferences
"My experience at the Nonprofit Lab was great! I was able to catch up with colleagues and develop new connections in the community. I participated in in engaging workshops that went deeper than typical professional development conferences. I've already put into action some of the techniques I learned at the institute."

“The Nonprofit Lab is a truly “must-attend” event for nonprofit professionals! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the opportunities for making authentic connections with other members of the nonprofit community were abundant. The speakers and workshop leaders were inspiring and the sessions were highly interactive, centered around practical, hands-on advice and wisdom on how to confront challenges and apply new strategies at your own organization. Kudos to the Nonprofit Learning Lab for bringing this wonderful event to the Los Angeles community.”
Felicity Palmer
Development Manager, Executive Service Corps of Southern California

“I have had the pleasure of both attending and presenting at the Nonprofit Lab—one in Denver and one in Phoenix. As an attendee, I was awestruck by the depth of expert content and the range of topics covered. My only struggle was not knowing which sessions to attend because they all seemed to be meaningful and worthwhile…I don’t always say that after decades in the nonprofit sector. So then, to be asked to present, was a true honor. I’m hooked on the benefits of this great organization!”
Ray Merenstein
President, RDM Communications, Inc.

"The Nonprofit Labs are an exciting experience for nonprofit staff who want professional development. The facilitators are some of the best in their field, and I loved how we discussed a wide range of topics including building one on one donor relationships, prospecting and research to find new donors, and sharing your organization’s story online in new and exciting ways. For those of you who need a substantive, 202-level dive into strengthening your nonprofit, this is a great learning opportunity."
Micah Morris

"Anyone who volunteers or works for a nonprofit should go to a Nonprofit Lab. The day in Newport News was absolutely wonderful and we all walked away with new friends, new information, new skills and a renewed energy to move our organizations forward. Thank you Leah and the Nonprofit Learning Lab. Please come back again next year!"
Jane Stein

"The Nonprofit Lab was a perfect opportunity for us to really deepen our knowledge of best practices in major gift fundraising. As the Founder and Executive Director, we have been expanding our major gifts program for some time and I was able to walk away with concrete and specific strategies to use. The Nonprofit Learning Lab also did a wonderful job of creating an opportunity and facilitated space to connect with colleagues new and old. I am glad that they brought this event to LA."
Roi Matalon
Founder and Executive Director, SLAM! Los Angeles

"I highly recommend the Nonprofit Lab for any nonprofit professional that is looking to participate in stimulating workshops and network with nonprofit professionals in your state. The conference format is perfect for busy nonprofit professionals looking to fit professional development and networking hours in their hectic schedules. The speakers and workshop leaders were inspiring and the sessions were both hands on and practical. I especially enjoyed the fundraising related workshops. The “Meet the Funders” workshop was a great opportunity to meet Program Officers and learn more about the decision making process from a funders perspective This is definitely one of the best conferences I’ve attended in a long time."
