WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

An emerging management team is one engaging with new leaders, forming as a new team, trying to shift how it leads, supporting a strategic shift in the organization, experiencing turnover, and/or just trying to emerge from big shifts in the world. This workshop focuses on understanding what it means to be an emerging management teams and how the team is a system that needs its own care and support.  We will work with specific tools to lean in and help you support your team through change.

What The Training Will Cover

  • Engage with the definition of emerging management team, and understanding inflection points (also, we are always in a state of emergence)

  • Appreciate your team as its own entity, and why this matters for emerging more successfully

  • Visualize what is happening on your team with a drawing-based tool, and identify where there is possibility to move past obstacles.

  • Experience different response styles to change, and consider how to leverage that with your team.

  • Layer in a map of understanding where the team is in regards to productivity and positivity as a way to identify action steps

ABOUT THE TRAINER

Betsy Block is the lead Coach-Catalyst for B3 Coach and helps emerging management teams at small- and mid-sized nonprofits navigate strategic changes intentionally, effectively, and confidently.  She has over 30 years experience working in nonprofit, government, philanthropy, and the for-profit sector.  She has served in leadership roles across these organizations, always focused on lifting up the naturally creative and generative capacity of teams. She holds a Masters in Public Policy, as well as the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coach Federation. She was one of the first people world-wide to receive their Advanced Certification in Team Coaching. She is certified in CoActive Coaching as well Organization and Relationships Systems Coaching, and is trained in a host of other tools.  In addition to supporting teams, she is also a trained coach mentor and supervisor.etsy is constantly building community, learning, exploring, and diving into the unknown.  When not coaching teams and supporting fellow coaches, she enjoys triathlon training, hanging out with her family, and traveling.
