Every nonprofit has a story to tell about the work it’s doing. In this session, we’ll get past “storytelling” as an organizational goal and start talking about it as a practical day-to-day tool. “Storytelling” can seem like a board-level buzzword, but we’ll dig into what truly makes stories the most effective form of communication – and how any nonprofit organization can apply those story principles to communicate more powerfully with their donors and members. Make sure you have a notepad so you can start planning your organization’s storytelling strategy during this workshop.

Ginny Waller | Waller Consulting

Human Resources is grounded in the practice of taking care of your #1 resource: your people. However, for nonprofits with small budgets and less resources, maintaining good HR practices can be tricky. Whether it’s the Executive Director or the Office Manager or some combination of the two, the organization should prioritize a few key HR practices: onboarding, tracking leave, maintaining records, and fostering a healthy organizational culture. In this session, former nonprofit executive director turned nonprofit consultant, Ginny Waller, will offer solutions to the small HR shop challenges.

NEW & coming up next month!

Libby Magliolo | The Slide Master

Join us for this NEW upcoming series workshop in November! In the 2-session "Data-Driven Presentations" workshop, participants will learn how to transform raw numbers into captivating stories and visuals that not only resonate with their audience, but drive action as well. The workshop will review the foundational elements of data visualizations, so that attendees gain a comprehensive understanding of charts and graphs that facilitate clear and effective data communication. Moving beyond the basics, the workshop will also delve into the realm of advanced data visualizations, as well as learn how to craft customized infographics, understanding when and how to employ these visual wonders to enhance the narrative of their data presentations. Attendees will learn the strategies to breathe life into their data, contextualizing it in ways that make it both memorable and powerful. By incorporating storytelling techniques into their presentations, they will leave a lasting impression on their audience, engaging them on a deeper level and driving actionable insights.
