USFRA Partners with Beacon Design

This year, The U.S. First Responders Association (USFRA) will be launching its 2020 keepsake ornament. This is their first time partnering with Beacon Design to create a unique keepsake that will be used for both fundraising and gift-giving. I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Janet Liebsch, VP, and Disaster Specialist at USFRA. She took the time to share a bit of history about their amazing organization and what they provide for their members.

Bringing Together First Responders

Established in 2008, The U.S. First Responders Association (USFRA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, professional and social network of fire, EMS, law enforcement, 911/dispatch, and military personnel, as well as, veterans and civilian volunteers. USFRA brings together professionals from many diverse fields to strengthen safety initiatives, share knowledge and expertise, develop training programs, and combine efforts to maximize community outreach programs. They are one of only a few national nonprofits that embrace all facets of first response.

At this time, staff and administration volunteer for USFRA. However, members and supporters are a broad spectrum of active first responders, both paid and volunteer.

Raising Funds

USFRA has a variety of resources they use to generate revenue for their organization. For instance, MyUSFRA Networking & Commerce. MyUSFRA is a community of First Responders and local and national businesses that can promote their public safety services and products. Furthermore, the MyUSFRA platform strives for a positive and strong community while giving others the unique opportunity to promote their business. Individuals can join for $5 per year and businesses can join for as low as $50 per year. Most importantly, all proceeds benefit their MyUSFRA First Responder Disaster Relief Fund.

In addition to MyUSFRA, the organization relies on fundraising methods that include, donations in collateral for swag (patches, decals, t-shirts, etc.), and donations supporting their key programs and corporate partnerships.

Unique Keepsake for Fundraising

New in 2020, USFRA is introducing its 2020 Keepsake Ornament. It is 100% made in the U.S.A. and metal-etched in solid brass. Additionally, the 2-dimensional keepsake is beautifully finished in 24kt gold with vibrant colors. As a matter of fact, this is the first of their distinguished collection of gifts for law enforcement, fire-rescue, EMS, and military! A unique gift to recognize and honor special members of the public service force and create a lasting impression.

In any event, the keepsake will be used to increase funds, but also for gifts and prizes throughout the year. Above all, it is hoped that the piece will become a unique collector’s item and representation of the United States First Responders Association and their community.
