This practical workshop will walk through foundational Excel strategies that help managers structure their data for clarity, reduce common mistakes, and quickly surface key insights. Participants will learn essential formulas and tools that make reporting faster, cleaner, and more decision-ready — without requiring advanced technical expertise.

What the Training Will Cover
Structure spreadsheets in ways that support clean data, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
Use essential formulas (e.g., SUM, COUNTIF, IF) to answer common program and performance questions.
Create simple Pivot Tables to quickly summarize data for board reports, grant updates, and internal conversations.
Apply practical tools (sorting, filtering, data validation, conditional formatting) to improve data accuracy and reduce manual errors.

All workshops are live. Registrants receive slides & recordings. It is expected participants will be able to be on camera and able to unmute for some portions of the training to participate in discussions. Full recordings are not provided. About the Trainer
Kayla (Mueller) Meyers is a seasoned program evaluator with over a decade of experience helping nonprofits and public organizations assess and improve their programs. She specializes in evaluation capacity building and mixed-methods evaluation. Kayla holds a Master of International Development Practice from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs and has experience in senior-level consulting and building evaluation infrastructure for global nonprofits. She currently serves as an adjunct professor teaching Program Evaluation and Survey Design and has published articles and presented at conferences including the American Evaluation Association and Nonprofit Technology Conference.
