The 90-Second Pitch: A Framework to Engage Funders in Crucial Moments
Upcoming Training Dates
Select a date and time that works for you. All sessions are held live and include time for questions.
Workshop Description
You know your organization is making a difference. But too often funders don’t respond in the way you hope. When you have only a few minutes—or sometimes just seconds—to introduce your work, it’s easy for funders to miss the heart of your mission or overlook the real impact you’re creating in your community. In this interactive session, nonprofit leaders will develop a clear and compelling 90-second pitch that communicates the essence of their organization’s work.
Who Should Attend
Nonprofit professionals who want to increase funding through story.
What the Training Will Cover
A clear framework for your 90-second pitch: Learn how to structure a short story that quickly explains the challenge your organization addresses, your approach, and the impact you are creating.
The elements funders listen for first: Understand what funders want to hear in those first moments so they immediately grasp why your work matters.
How to highlight impact—even when outcomes are long-term: Discover ways to share meaningful progress and early indicators of change when your mission takes years to fully realize.
Techniques for making your message memorable: Use simple storytelling tools that help funders remember your mission long after the conversation ends.
A draft of your organization’s 90-second pitch: Leave the sessions with a working version of your own pitch that you can use in meetings, networking conversations, and fundraising opportunities.
