Workshop Description
Hiring the right people and navigating employee transitions are among the most important responsibilities of a manager. Thoughtful staffing decisions can strengthen organizational culture, improve team performance, reduce turnover, and help organizations adapt as priorities, funding, and staffing needs change.
This workshop provides practical strategies for managing staffing decisions throughout the employee lifecycle. Participants will learn how to identify staffing needs, recruit and select qualified candidates, conduct effective interviews, and onboard new employees for success. The workshop also explores how to recognize when a role or employee is no longer the right fit, coach employees through transitions, restructure roles when needed, and navigate respectful employee separations. Participants will also learn strategies for succession planning, knowledge transfer, team communication, and maintaining organizational continuity during staffing changes.
