WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Are you concerned that there may be a gap between your nonprofit's strategic direction and what is actually happening across your organization? It can be challenging to ensure that your projects, programs, and initiatives are aligned with your strategic plan and other key organizational strategies. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the cause and impact of strategy gaps in nonprofits, along with a framework for assessing your nonprofit’s strategic alignment. We’ll cover simple techniques for creating alignment, including feasibility assessments and simple approval processes. We will also explore creating and implementing more aligned workflows. Join us and learn how to close your organization’s strategy gap!

ABOUT THE TRAINER

Jami Yazdani is a project management and planning consultant with more than 16 years of experience managing a portfolio of diverse projects and planning initiatives. Before starting Yazdani Consulting and Facilitation in 2018, Ms. Yazdani spent 15 years in libraries and public higher education, including more than a decade in leadership (Director) and management roles.

Ms. Yazdani holds a BA in Government and Politics from George Mason University, a Master of Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University, and a Master of Technology Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. She also holds several active certifications from the Project Management Institute: a Project Management Professional certification, a Disciplined Agile Scrum Master certification, and a Wicked Problem Solving Practitioner certification.
