Prospect Research for Frontline Fundraisers & Small Shops
How Prospect Research is a valuable tool that is not just for large nonprofits. This session reviews basic tools and tips as a means to strengthen the knowledge of your individual donors and allow for more informed identification, cultivation and solicitation of annual stewardship and major gift prospects. A review of industry resources will provide attendees with new tools for their toolkits as well as tips on how to implement them in small shop setting. We’ll also include some basic tips for taking on a consultative role within your organization to help build internal relationships to better inform prospect strategy.
ABOUT THE TRAINER
Nick Sollog has been a development professional for over 15 years. In 2009 he formed The Sollog Group, a consulting firm dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations raise more money in less time. The group’s practice focuses on capital campaigns, annual giving, database administration, and prospect development. Nick currently sits on the alumni board of the University of Lynchburg and is an active communicant and former Vestryman at Grace & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Nick’s professional memberships include the Virginia Association of Fundraising Executives, Association for Advancement Services Professionals, Apra International, Apra-Virginia, and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Richmond.
