Whether or not your organization’s board has term limits, recruiting and orienting new board members is an ongoing need. These new members could become your officers someday. Start your relationship off on the right foot. Applying elements from BoardSource’s Board-Building Cycle, this webinar will guide you through assessing your board’s specific needs for new members, effective recruitment methods, the why’s and how’s of orienting new board members, and how to plan for succession.

ABOUT THE TRAINER
Stephanie Cory is committed to strengthening the nonprofit sector through education. She has dedicated her career to the sector for more than 15 years. Stephanie has served as an executive director for a health advocacy organization as well as held development and program management roles for organizations serving seniors and people with disabilities. In these roles she expanded programming, strengthened infrastructure, and grew fundraising revenue. She has also consulted for a variety of other organizations helping them strengthen governance and fundraising. Stephanie has worked with organizations of all sizes—from grassroots with no paid staff to multi-campus health care providers with upward of $60 million in annual revenue. She is an adjunct faculty member for Villanova University’s College of Professional Studies.
Stephanie is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and earned her designation as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) from the American College of Financial Services. Recognized for her excellence in teaching and facilitation, she was named a Master Trainer by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Demonstrating her commitment to helping organizations strengthen their governance and employ best practices, Stephanie is a Certified Governance Trainer through BoardSource and a licensed consultant through the Standards for Excellence® Institute. She earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Southern California.
